As a result, CED acquires a network in 41 countries, with its own offices in 13 European countries.
Interiura has around 100 employees in 13 countries.
Interiura currently handles green card and 4th motor insurance directive claims, local and international claims handling, international legal assistance, medical reports, and local and international recoveries among its services.
In a statement, CED said the acquisition “supplements the CED activities in Belgium, Luxembourg and France”, and that the move would increase its turnover to approximately €23 million.
Johan Waaijer, chairman of the board of directors at CED stated: “In order to offer this product to our clients we need a solid, international network of claim handlers. With the right approach a high quality product for cross border claims handling can be created. By acquiring Interiura, CED now has an international network with highly qualified claims handlers, allowing us to offer this innovative Cross Border claims product.”
Thomas Bungard, director of Interiura International AG, added: “The strength and stability of CED provides us with good opportunities for growth. There is a high degree of synergy that will be obtained from joining forces. And, on top of that, the solid position of CED in the Dutch and Belgian markets offers us great potential to serve Dutch and Belgian clients.”
